Thanks, Colleen! Start now -- the plants probably need a good watering because I suspect many didn't get watered that last week of school. And it's already so hot!

The queens startled us last time we weeded; they make an explosion of color when you walk through the arbor. I'll look around my garden for some green lacewing eggs and transplant them to the habitat to start the aphid feast. It is definitely looking good. Many thanks to those watering this summer and keeping it growing. So many will be surprised at the growth when they return in the fall.

Beautiful photos of some wonderful flowers and guests! The assassin bugs are so cool, huh? I've seen several at work in our garden, too. They have plenty of aphids to keep them busy on the milkweed. I love the acanthus - I should consider that for our garden. We need more red! The Queens are beautiful!
